Upon completion of the Biology major, students will be able to:

  • Evaluate the ethics of behavior and decisions likely to be encountered in one's professional career.
  • Gather and perform quantitative analyses of scientific data using current methods and technology.
  • Demonstrate significant contribution to teams researching scientific problems.
  • Produce and defend science results according to professional standards in the form of reports, maps, graphics, and presentations.
  • Identify, analyze, and summarize significant scientific issues of local and/or global concern and develop scientifically justifiable solutions.
  • Demonstrate content knowledge by applying it to scientific professions or through entrance into graduate/professional programs.
